Yesterday I found out that one of my Mum and Dad's oldest friend is really having a hard time living with cancer and they wanted a card to give him that showed they cared.  Now I've known Jack all my life, his wife was there for my Mum when she started going into labour until Dad arrived.  Now Jack is a lifelong Bury F.C supporter and my husband and his family are fans of bury's biggest rival the mighty Rochdale A.F.C

Now I wanted Jack to know we cared but I didn't want him to think I felt sorry for him so thought I would have a little joke with the card.  I also felt that the usual Get Well Soon was not right for obvious reasons.

I needed to explain all this as you just wouldn't understand the wording otherwise.

Isn't he just the cutest!! He is of course Teddy Bo.  He has just had his shop made-over and would love to show it off to you if you pop over.  He is coloured with my super duper copic's.  In the sketch the image had inverted rounded corner's and sadly I don't have one of those punches so instead I'm using a woodware one Mum won and gave me.  The paper's are actually nitwit one's that came in a pack with a magazine.  I so love these denim look papers.  The gems were originally clear but I coloured them with my copic's to match in with the colour scheme.

I really liked this sketch so much so I continued with it on the inside of the card.

A Gorjuss 21 year old

My card tonight is from my Niece who turns 21 on Friday.  She love Gojuss girls and likes more dark colours than all girly and flowery.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges :

The purple backing paper is from a Laurence Llewellyn bowen vernaissance pack and the purple strips are papermania henbury lane.  My gorjuss girl is coloured with copic's and then fussy cut out.  The die cuts were actually cut on my cricut hence why I had to cut her and stick her onto the die cut.

The 21 in the corner was also cut on my cricut.

My little girl is turning 21

I don't have any children but due to certain things I got the honour of helping to bring up my niece Rachel.

She turns 21 on the 12th and I feel soooo old.  She's currently working and living in Devon on a dairy farm.  As she most definitely not a girly-girl I had to think of images that were "just her".

As soon as I saw this stamp I thought of Rachel, its by Nellie Snellen and you can find here.  She is coloured with copics.  All three blue papers have different textures on them.  The mirri blue is from kanban, the others I'm not too sure of.  The 21 was cut out of the same card as the image mat and I then put it through my zyron sticker maker and then covered it in glamour dust glitter.  The ribbon and crocheted lace are from my stash.

A way to show my thanks

I have a very good friend called Kath.  I met her 18 months ago through a card making class.

She is such a great friend who is always there to lend an ear and she drive's when we go on our craft road trips as I am unable to drive.  Nothings every too much for trouble for her.

When I saw the challenge on Stamptacular challenging you to make a card for a friend I decided to go one better and make a gift for Kath.  I sometimes go over to her house to help her out with her cricut and she has notes on lots of different paper's so I decided to alter a note book for her and to use one of her favourite digi stamp company Teddy Bo.

I am entering the notebook into the following challenges :

I began by buying a 99pence note book and then removed the cover. The Image was printed and then coloured with copic's.  I added glamour dust glitter to her bubbles an her pom pom of her hat.  The clouds are done with a cloud template and distress ink.

The three dotty papers are all Bo Bunny double dot.  The bubbles BP is by magnolia and possibly my favourite BP of all time.  The ribbon was ruffled by sticking parts of the ribbon with DST.  The pink raffia lace is by the paper cellar.

The notebook die cut is by Shery K designs and was cut on my cricut.  She has some brilliant svg files on her blog for free.  And finally the letters were also cut on my cricut.

TBH I don't want to let this notebook go but I feel like that with all my Teddy Bo makes.

I hope Kath likes it when she returns from her holiday,

Hap-Bee Anniversary

This is the final card tht I have made for my in-laws Ruby Wedding Anniversary.  This is one off the dogs.  Yes I really am that mad, but they only send cards for special occasions.

The bear is Newton's Law and is coloured with copic's.  I have added glitter to the birds wings and clear glitter pen on the centre of the flower.

The 3 different PP's were all from my scrap drawer.  The lemon lace is what I got in a lace swap. 

The beautiful bee is from a charm bracelet I got in the sale Claire's accessories, which was in a buy 2 get one free on all sale items.

Craft Mojo has gone on its holidays

For some reason my craft mojo has decided to take a holiday, hence the lack of posts off me recently.

I think the main reason has been the amount of pain I've been in due a couple of falls recently.

So today I have a card to share with you all and although it is fairly simple, with few embellishments I hope you like it.

And here's my card :

She is coloured with copic's, with a little white gel pen to do the shine on her shoes and the spots on her t-shirt and bow.  She has been fussy cut out and then mounted with foam pads onto the lemon card.

The faux stitching is done with black glaze pen for a change.

The pearls and spotty ribbon are coloured with copic's to match the colour theme going on.

The striped paper was bought when I first started crafting as was the lemon glitter card used for the squares.  And believe it or not but the teal card is actually a left over from my childhood.  My Dad used to drive for some paper companies and would bring me card home every now and then.  Wish he still did, I would save a fortune.

Hopefully I will be back later in the week with some more cards, but sitting at my desk is pretty painful right now so I will just have to see how I get on,

It must be a Magical Monday

Today marks the first day on the Magical Monday design team.  Our challenges last for 2 weeks and so that gives you plenty of time to dig out your magical stamps.

Our next challenge has a theme of Punches and Embossing.  Don't forget to use a Magical image in order to be in a chance of winning our prize which is your choice of 3 sheets of Decoupage from The 

Crafty Purple Frog.

I made a twisted easel card.

And here you can see how I trimmed her out and popped her up on foam pads 

For this card I chose to use my trusty Martha Stewart double loops punch to fit in with the current magical monday's challenge.

Here's how I made my card. 

I chose the gorgeous Ally and beeble from the Australian company Emerald Fairy Garden.  She has some of the best fairies around and I struggled picking just one.  I them coloured with my copics and added glamour dust to het wings and sakura clear stardust pen to the ladybugs spots.  I then very carefully cut her out.

The green and blue panel behind Ally was made by blending crushed olives, faded jeans and bundled sage.  I then sprayed my perfect pearls mist to give it some extra sparkle.

The plain blue and green cardstock is american crafts.  I don't know the make of the stripy paper I'm afraid but the strip on the base of the card has got glamour dust across each colour change.
