Happy 21st Birthday from the cows

OK technically not from the cows, the card is actually going to be off her Dad but it features cows.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges :
Sweet Stop Sketches - great sketch
Sweet Stampin - rainbow colours
Top Tip Tuesday - all straight edges
Anything goes  birthdays
A spoonful of sugar - birthdays
Card making mamas - birthdays
Charisma Cardz - bingo - squares, charm and glitter

The cows are coloured with copic's and decoupaged as you hopefully can see in the third photo.
The papers are all from my scraps drawer and the 21 was cut on my cricut in black glitter paper.
The charm is from my great blog friend Marion and is glued with silicone sealant. Which reminds me I must try some on the hole in my wellies as it's wellie weather again here.
So my tip for top tip tuesday - instead of buying glitter embossing powder, just add micro fine glitter to your normal embossing powder.  Then you will have a glittery and non-glittery version.

I was featured on Sweet Stop Sketches

Shannon, one f the design team at Sweet Stop Sketch blog, kindly chose my card as her favourite from the entries for sketch 118. You can see her comment here.
She kindly said "Just Really Really Amazing coloring! I coudn't stop looking at it... lol..."
How nice is that??  Especially as today is my 11th wedding anniversary.
She was talking about the card I made for my nephews birthday.
This is the card :

Its going to be Tickled Pink Christmas

So this week I have started my Christmas cards.  This is my first card that I have to share with you.
I am going to enter it into the following challenges :
Sweet stop sketches - the great sketch I followed.
Paper Sundaes - Christmas
Stamp Something - Christmas
Anything goes - more than 1 fold
Bugaboo - Christmas
So here's my card :

Isn't she so beautiful??  She's a dream to colour and you can find her at Tickled pink stamps here.
She is coloured with my copic's.  I used camel seam binding, and some stripy paper I found in the drawer.  The top PP is actually plain cream card stamped with a Christmas words background that I got for 99pence on ebay.
The snowflake charm was silver but I coloured it with my e37 copic to make it match the vintage feel.
Finally all papers are edged with vintage photo distress ink.

It must be a Magical Monday

Today marks the first day on the Magical Monday design team.  Our challenges last for 2 weeks and so that gives you plenty of time to dig out your magical stamps.
Our next challenge has a theme of Punches and Embossing.  Don't forget to use a Magical image in order to be in a chance of winning our prize which is your choice of 3 sheets of Decoupage from The
Crafty Purple Frog.

Here is my card for the challenge :

I made a twisted easel card.

Here is a close-up of the beautiful fairy

And here you can see how I trimmed her out and popped her up on foam pads

For this card I chose to use my trusty Martha Stewart double loops punch to fit in with the current magical monday's challenge.
Here's how I made my card.
I chose the gorgeous Ally and beeble from the Australian company Emerald Fairy Garden.  She has some of the best fairies around and I struggled picking just one.  I them coloured with my copics and added glamour dust to het wings and sakura clear stardust pen to the ladybugs spots.  I then very carefully cut her out.
The green and blue panel behind Ally was made by blending crushed olives, faded jeans and bundled sage.  I then sprayed my perfect pearls mist to give it some extra sparkle.
The plain blue and green cardstock is american crafts.  I don't know the make of the stripy paper I'm afraid but the strip on the base of the card has got glamour dust across each colour change.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :
Papertake weekly- anything goes
Emerald Fairy Garden - lots of bling
The Sweet Stop - for the sketch I changed the flower for the strip of punched loops

The design team have once again outdone themselves and are well worth having that closer look.
I hope you come and join us over at Magical Monday's.

Arn't they just the cutest couple?  They are coloured with my copic's as usual.  The striped holographic card is from Kanban and the blue is from my stash.
The punched border is made using a MS punch called double loops.  The ribbon is also from my vast collection of ribbon. The sentiment came with this stamp and the gems are by papermania. And finally the charm is from Primark, I got it so Mum could have something to keep.
Well thanks for popping over,

Happy Birthday Dave (FIL)

Today is my Father-in-laws birthday.  He's 21 again.
His loves our holidays to Mexico so I decided to make him Mexican themed birthday cards this year.  Which may sound hard but Dustin Pike over at Doodle Dragon Studios has made some great Mariachi images.
I am in a rush to get to his house to give him the cards so please accept my apologies over a rather rushed blog post.

Here's the three band members :

I will now list each card separately and put which challenge they are entered in to.

The Sweet Shop : sketch Sweet Shop Sketches
Bugaboo : 4 or more layers Bugaboo
Doodle Dragon Studios - birthday card : Doodle Dragon Blog

Sketch Saturday - Sketch saturday
Bugaboo - 4 or more layers : Bugaboo

This image fits in the mexican theme as a pelican in Mexico took a disliking to my FIL.

Anything goes : Pearls coloured to match the mexican flag : Anything Goes
Gem challenge : sketch : Pink Gem Challenge Blog

Tiddly Inks Friendship Card

I have had the following image coloured for quite a few days now but tonight has been my first chance to make it into a card.
I have used the following sketch from Sweet Shop Sketchers.  This was a lovely sketch to work with and I'm glad I found their blog this week.

And here is my card :

Sorry the photos a but squiffy but I was struggling for some good light to take the photo in.
This gorgeous image is from Tiddly Inks and is called Happy Q.  I have coloured her with copics and used Suzanne Deans tutorials to do her hair.  It was very hard work, took me a long time but I'm really pleased with how her hair turned out.  The image has a dotty border using sakura blue stardust pen.
The pearlised backing paper is by centura and the PP is by Bo Bunny called Gypsy lace, I have used both sides on this card.
The heart is wooden and I think I got it in an embellishment swap.  I have coated it and 2 card candy in turquoise ultra fine glitter.  That glitter has got everywhere and I now have a glittery dog or two.  Just an occupational hazard in this house.
The sentiment inside reads "Of all possessions a friend is the most precious" I thought this was just the right wording as her arms are open wide ready to give you a hug. Sorry I cant take a photo but the glue has not dried on the heart and the candi.
This card is also being entered into the Pollycraft Challenge, which has the theme of friendship.
I should have a challenge card for the pollycraft challenge next week using one of her images.  I have enough now as I bout around 20 this morning as she has a 50% off sale.  It ends today.
