So the sun is finally shining, its warm outside and so I have a Christmas card to share with you.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Tip top tuesday - shaped cards
Stamp Something - favourite embellishment - just had to be glitter
Creative craft - layers or decoupage
Paper Sundaes - Christmas
Bugaboo - Christmas
So here's my card, shame all the glitter didn't show up too well.
The stamp I have used is Stampin Up Serene snowflakes. Stamped with blue chalk ink. The smaller white stamped snowflakes are from the same stamp set.
I began by cutting out my shaped card on my cricut using Make the cut software. The blue layer is also cut on the cricut and then stamped with the smaller snowflakes, glamour dust glitter is added to the centre of each snowflake.
The 2 snowflake edged strips across the card are done with my super new EK Success punch. The ribbon was bought from Tesco's just after Christmas last year and cost about 30 p. Finally the larger snowflake was stamped in the centre of the circle and then glittered, next i stamped onto a separate piece of paper, and cut out the cross section of the stamp and then it was glittered also. Finally just the centre circle was stamped cut out and glittered. They are layered up using foam pads to give a 3d effect.
So on Tip Top Tuesday they asked for a tip. Mine tip is about using your edge punches. Punch out 2 strips, say from the snowflake punch I used. Then turn the punched edges together and you get a beautiful snowflake strip, like in the photos below. I hope you understand what I mean.
Hugs
