My Daddy is Number 1

I'm not talking about my Daddy.  Well yes I am coz he is simply THE BEST, but this card is actually for another Daddy.  Ethan is sending his Daddy his very first birthday card and as Ethan is only 8 months old he asked me to help with it.

On the sketch the image stands on a rectangle the holds the sentiment but I thought I would be nicer for the little boy on a podium as if he's won a prize of having the best Dad.  The little boy is by Mami Doodles and is called Daddy's boy.  He's coloured with copic's and has white gel pen as high lights on his shoe's and cheeks, and I have gone over the writing with a clear glitter pen to add some subtle bling.  The stars were cut on my cricut and are outlined in glamour dust glitter.  The gingham paper (that is edged in distress ink) is from my best bloggy friend Marion. Thank you ducky, I just can't get enough of gingham at the mo.  The devine twine has has some distress ink run over them to make them match the colour scheme better.

I just want to say a big thank you to all those of you who have become a follower.  As I have now made it into 3 figures I thought it was about time I had some blog candy so hopefully I will get the photos taken and get a blog post done tomorrow.

Happy 16th Birthday Charlotte

Now you know that banners have been around for quite a while now, well this is my first go at having a banner on a card.  Yes I know I'ma bit slow on the uptake.

Tiddly Inks Tom

This is my card for my nephew who turns 11 next month and starts high school in september.  The challenge over at Tiddly Inks is to use the theme of a movie.  I have chosen to have High School Musical for my theme.

Cuddly Buddly Crafts first challenge

When they say something has been a labour of love I think they had this card in mind.

This card has taken me all day to do today, in-between stupid printers and severe back pain came this card.

And here is my card :

This cute girl is called Sweet Blossom and she's a digi stamp available from Cuddly Buddly Crafts.

The clouds background was done using a stipple brush, tumbled glass distress ink pad and a cloud template.  Sweet blossom has been coloured as usual with my copics.  She has gems in the centre of her flowers and glamour dust glitter on the green swirls, butterflies and the buttons on her top and her headband.

The sentiment is computer generated and then printed onto the panel cut on my cricut.  I continued the cloud effect on the sentiment panel aswell.

The pink BP is just from my stash and the beautiful ribbon has come from my great friend Marion.

This cute guy was perfect for one of the sentiments from an inkadinkado set "you look good for your age almost human"

He is coloured with copics, as usual.  The white card has been embossed with fiskars texture plates.  The stars were cut on my cricut using make the cut.

It's a Kind of Magic

As soon as I saw the Abracadabra stamp from Lili of the Valley, he went straight to the top of my most wanted list, so using him today has been brilliant.

And here's my card :

The cute Abracadabra guy has been stamped onto a star circle I made in make the cut then cut it on my cricut.  (if you want a copy of my MTC file , please let me know in the comments section and if anyones interested I will work out how to attach a file onto my blog and post it for you)

The star circle also has a black shadow to set off the white and make it pop.

He is coloured with copics, with his stars and moons done in yellow sakura stardust pen and his wand in silver sakura pen.

The sparkly star paper is by making memories and the black organza ribbon has silver dots all over it.  The strip of shimmery black card across the bottom of the card and behind the sentiment is actually from the box I spray my perfect pearls mists on to.  I have doodled the music notes using white gel pen.

The sentiment has been computer generated.

The only way my card is different from the sketch as I have done the stars all around the circle instead of using flowers.

The Greeting Farm - A birthday card

Todays card uses a new stamp for me called Sassy Suzie.  I've loved colouring this cutie in so there should be more coming in the future.

She has been coloured with my copic's and I used the feathering technique on her hair.  The white fur trim on her coat has been given the glamour dust sparkle.

The wording was cut out on my cricut with Make the cut.  All the paper, ribbon, gemmed flower and pearled pins are from my stash.

You make the world a better place

I think this might be the first time I have inked this gorgeous fairy up since I got her at the Harrowgate papercraft show in March.  I can't believe it, as she is just one of the best fairies around.

And here's my card - 

The fairy is coloured with copics with glamour dust on her wings and wand and my clear sakura stardust pen on the dandelion seeds, her ribbon in her hair and on her petticoat.

This stamp is called Dandelion clock and the sentiment circle is from the Mixed circle sentiments set.

The white squares were spritzed with my turquoise perfect pearl mists and then embossed with a folder that came free with the docrafts magazine.  The PP was also spritzed with the same perfect pearl mist, which gives the most gorgeous shimmer IRL, but its not picked up on camera sorry.

My Dads turning 70!!

When I saw Jennifer Dove's card here I knew that sentiment would work perfectly for my Brother-in-laws card for my Dad's birthday.  Whilst you are at Jennifer's blog have a look around, her colouring is some of the best I've seen.

I Toad-ally Love You

This card is form my FIL to my MIL AandI can't go into the exact reason as to why I had to use this image from Doodle Dragon Studios as my FIL wouldn't want everyone to know about his birthday present underpants and my MIL wouldn't want people to know she fell over whilst trying to shake a frog off her foot, so I won't tell you.

Happy Birthday Mags

I though I would get a head start on my MIL's birthday cards and though one of the new Blossom images from cs designs would be perfect for her.

And here is my card :

Beautiful Blossom is coloured with copics.  The hand-drawn stitches are done in sakura stardust pens.

The background was made by blending spun sugar and dusty concord distress ink with a quick mist of my ranger perfect pearls mists.

The double dot paper has also been misted.

The sentiment is computer generated and the gems started out as clear ones that have been coloured with copics.
