This nearly got ripped up

Today I made 2 cards. One for Hubby for our anniversary tomorrow and this one for my niece's 17th birthday on Wednesday.
It's a big birthday time so hoping to share some of the other cards I've made.

Image is Tickled Pink, coloured with copics,

papers are First Edition Summer Breeze,

spellbinder butterfly circle and Whimsy stamps pennants.

I added clear glitter pen to her bow and lips,

sentiment stamp is off the Teddy Bo freebie from the mag.

I added anitas clear gloss to her glasses but it doesn't show,

Just noticed I forgot to do her bracelet.

I followed a sketch from the lovely Woo, who hosts a monthly stretch challenge

on Aly's crafty den group on Facebook

See you tomorrow with Hubby's anniversary card,

Hugs

Right own up now who stole monday?!?!?

Woo hoo it's time for a new challenge over at Teddy Bo which also means it's time for some new digi's!!!

So can you guess what our challenge is???

It's Christmas in July

I'm struggling at the moment to know what day it so making a Christmas card has pushed my brain to its limits! I lost a whole day this week as I was 24 hours behind everyone else.
The other day my friend said see you tomorrow. Nothing wrong in that but my brain's going "why are we meeting on a Wednesday, we never meet on a Wednesday, it's always Thursday's??
Turns out that day was Wednesday and we were meeting the day after which was a Thursday!!

TEDYBOBEA_135 coloured with copic's.
I added holographic blu glitter for the tinsel and white flowersoft for his pom pom.
Spellbinder Floral ovals dies
Paper is from Hubby's digi scrap kits but can't remember which one.
Sentiment is from Digital Card Fun website
Ribbon and ems from stash.

Big hugs

If you saw my clouds tutorial on Thursday I hope you found it easy to follow and useful.
Well I've decided to run a small clouds challenge in conjunction with Aly's Crafty Den on Facebook.
You don't need to be a member of either the group or of Facebook to enter.
If you use my tutorial and want to enter into the challenge please leave me a comment with your link to your blogged card and then keep your fingers crossed.
The challenge will run for 10 days so ending on 17th July, and my hubby will pick the winner.

So what do you win??

The prize contains :
a tidy tray,
7 different lengths of ribbon,
a pack of pencils,
an ink pad,
a flower stamp,
a selection of gems and brads
and a selection of die cuts (more than in the photo)

I'd love it if you joined in,

My Clouds Tutorial

You will need cloud templates for this technique.
I have made 4 different ones for you to use if you don't feel confident in drawing your own.
I use all 4 so there's is very little repetition of shape.
Mine measure around 13.5cm long and around 3.5cm deep.
The depth is so you can comfortably hold the template in place.

Ingredients
Coloured image
Cloud templates
Blue ink pads. I use either tumbled glass or broken chine distress ink pads.
Stipple brush. I us 5/16" Royal Crafter's Choice grip 9113 brush.
Scrap paper to practise on.

How To.....
First things first you need to practise until you're happy with it all.
I tap the brush onto the ink pad twice then do about half way and then repeat
until you are at the end of the image.  Now change the template and continue down.
On your scrap piece of paper practise using the templates. See if you prefer one ink over another, how much ink you want to lay down, how deep you want to add colour before you add your next layer of clouds and how far apart you want the clouds to be.

Once you're happy with your practise clouds you are ready to start on the coloured image.
Begin by placing your cloud template partially off the image.

You now have your first line of clouds.

Keep adding clouds, being careful not to get ink on the image.
Changing the templates, using both the back and front of the templates.
Going into tight spaces, like between her coat and scarf, and between the ribbons on her hat.

Continue until you are around 1cm from the ground.

Now you are near the ground have a couple of cloud bumps popping up above the ground.

And now you're done. I hope you have found this tutorial useful and easy to follow.
