How Charming

Today see's the start of our brand new challenge and this week we have kept it simple for you all.  All we ask is that you use a charm, simple as that.
We have 2 amazing sponsor's for you.  We have Ewe 2 can craft and Digital Delights to bring you some amazing prizes.
For my card I have chosen to go with Rodney Reindeer from Digital Delights.

I struggled a little with this card as I much prefer to make square cards but this is for an order and she always goes with rectangular cards.  It is the Christmas card for Harry whose birthday card you will find here.
I have coloured Rodney with copic's and I added some glossy accent's to his nose and sprinkled some glitter on for that extra sparkle.  The paper's are from the Dovecraft Noel stack.
The beautiful charm is from our great sponsor  Ewe 2 can craft
The ribbon is from Stamp and create in America.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Pollycraft - Anything goes
Cards for men - animals
Stamps r us - male cards
Dream Valley - anything goes
Sweet Stampin - Anything goes
One stop crafts - no sentiment
Charisma Cards - anything goes

My final Magical Monday's post

Today see's my sharing my final post as a Magical Monday's DT member.  The girl's have been a great bunch to get to know but I have both my Niece's wedding and my Parent's golden wedding invites to sort so I had make room in my life to fit these huge amount's of invites in.
The challenge for the following two week's is Circles and stripes. You must also include a magical image or your entry won't count.
I have chosen to use the Lili of the Valley Festive Fairy stamp.  She is coloured with a mixture of copic's and prisma pencil's.  I added glamour dust glitter to her wings.

The paper's I have used came free from a craft magazine.  As I wanted to have all the paper's to come from the same pad, I added red stripes to the red paper as there was no stripy paper in the pad.  The ribbon is off some packaging and the beautiful charm is from Ewe 2 can craft.  For those of you into charm's you really should pop over and look at the most amazing selection of charm's available.
As I have used a charm for this card it would also be eligible to enter the Cutie Pie Challenge as our new challenge start's today and the theme is to use a charm.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge :
Pile it on - keep warm
Totally Papercrafts - glitter it
Crafts 4 eternity - magical/mystical
Simon says stamp - anything goes
Secret Crafter - spooky/whimsical

Guest Design spot at Little Miss Muffet Stamps

Hi there and welcome to my post as a guest designer at Little Miss Muffet stamps challenge blog.
Today's challenge is all about clouds.  In the close-up photo you can see the clouds in the background.
I have chosen to use Linda Lee Hatter from the hatter's set of stamps.

To go with her over-sized hat I gave her an over-sized feather.  She is coloured with copic's and I aded glossy accent's to the circle's on her hat, clear sakura stardust pen to her bow around her waist and I gave her a cute silver bag charm.  The cloudy background was made using distress ink, a paint brush and a cloud template.
The paper's were a gift from a friend so I'm afraid I don't know the brand.  I finished the card off with the black ribbon that came from my local craft shop.
Thanks for stopping on by today and as my friend's return to Greece tomorrow I will be back to posting more cards for you all to see.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

For my regular readers I just want to let you know I have friends over from Greece so I have not had time to make any card's other than my DT cards.  Regular service will be resumed from Friday onwards.
So for today I have another clean and simple card to share with.  As well as it including one of the new graphic's that go on sale today but it is also a clean and simple card to fit in with this week's challenge.
Here are the wonderful image's Gayle has for you today.

I have chosen to use TEDDYBO_149 and have coloured him with a mixture of Prisma pencil's and copic's. I have added glamour dust to his hat and ice stickles at his feet for snow.I have gone over his paint with glossy accent's to make it look like he's used gloss paint.  The lattice edge is made using my new Martha Stewart deep edge lattice punch, and that's it, nice and clean and simple.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges ;

My time to craft - quite white

Just one of those days

Can someone please come and wake me up, I feel sooo tired.  I did housework yesterday and it obviously didn't agree with me and now I can hardly keep my eyes open.
I should have had this card scheduled to go live first thing this morning but I completely forgot.  I only remembered when I went to read Fairy Tale Friday on the Teddy Bo Challenge blog and saw my card!!
So here is my card for you all to see,

This card is for my SIL's birthday on Sunday.  I have coloured TEDDYBEA_026, Shopping Daze with a mixture of copic's and prisma pencils.
Kraft cardstock and the purple glitter dot papers are from my scraps. I think the purple paper is Papermania.
I then made 3 little brown shopping bags from Teddy Bo & Co. The handles are brown divine twine.  These were extremely difficult to make and are not something I plan on making again any time soon.
The brown ribbon is from my local craft shop.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Little Miss Muffet - girly girls
Pixie Dust - Happy Birthday
Pollycraft - girls, girls, girls
Stamptacular - choice of challenge
Bugaboo - animal antics

Happy 3rd Birthday Harry

Today's card is for a three years old's birthday who lives on a farm.

The image is actually a children's colouring page from Scribble town. It's coloured with copic's.  I have used a clear sakura stardust pen to add the sparkle.  The papers are left overs in my scraps drawer.  The blue check paper is actually 2 pieces joined together, the twine hides the join.
The blue twine is actually bale-a-twine from a bale of straw.  Dad gave it me jokingly saying I could use it on my cards.  Well I thought a farmers son's card was a great excuse to use it as they will know what it is straight away.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Mad for Markers - sketch used
Southern Girls - slugs and snails
Sweet Stampin - male cards
Stamptacular - you choose
Cards for men - make us laugh
Pile it on - fall is for fun
Inkspirations - great sketch used
Stamps are us - nature
Top Tip Tuesday - layers

Teddy Bo Tuesday and a brand new challenge

Today's the day for a brand new challenge and some brand new graphic's.  You are going to love these images Gayle has drawn for you.  They have been a HUGE hit with us on the design team.

So onto our challenge.  For the next two we want to see you Clean & Simple cards.
I don't make Halloween cards but couldn't resist this Teddy Bo so I just added a kind of slant to the Halloween theme with my sentiment.
Here is mine using the wonderful TEDDYBO_147.

I began by putting Bo in the top corner and the wording in the bottom corner.  Teddy Bo is coloured with prismas.  I added the green glow around him to make him spookier.
The papers we then all distresses and I threaded cheese cloth thru some punched holes to look like Teddy Bo's frayed bandages.  And that's it, clean and simple.
You mite think that the CAS style is very hard to do but give it a go and you'll be surprised just how much fun this style is.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Creative craft - congratulations
Crafty Pad - monochromatic
Secret Crafter - white plus 1 other colour
Simon says stamp - halloween/goth
Digital Tuesday - Halloween
Dream Valley - Halloween
Paper Sundae's - Halloween
One stop crafts - Halloween

Something kinda spooky going on

We don't celebrate halloween here so this was my first attempt at anything along these ines.  Yet once I got my teeth into the theme the whole thing started growing like a halloween monster.
There are alot of challenges are going with the Halloween theme at the moment and 2 of my design team's have chosen this theme.
They are Color me copic and Magical Monday's..  Color me copic's challenge run's until 28th October and Magical Monday's run's until 30th October so plenty of time for you to enter.
I decided I would make a large basket to hold lot's of goodies for the local children I meet when I walk my dog's and I added a large copic coloured tag to it.  I then decided it would be nice if the children had their own smaller basket so I made them each a smaller version of mine.
Here are some photo's to show you what I made.
This is the tag.

The large basket with a small one either side.

A pirates life for me

This month I joined the Color Me Copic design team.

We are a friendly group of girls who love our copic's.  We have challenges every 2 weeks to show off our copic skills and to learn from all the other great girls in the group.
As well as having great challenges with great prizes there are also some amazing classes to join.  Not only are there classes to brush up your copic skills, but there are classes on prismacolor pencils, distress inks and colouring Magnolia images with your pens.  I'm currently doing the copic class three and let me tell you they are amazing value for money.  Not only do you get pdf's for each lesson but you also get LONG video tutorials showing you exactly how to master each technique.  Suzanne is a great teacher and what she doesn't know about copic's just ain't worth knowing.
and so onto the reason why your here. I was asked the other week to make a quick door sign for a young boys room and for it to include an image.  Here is what I came up with.

I began by stamping the image and then scanning it.  I then imported it into the make the cut software for my cricut and traced it, then added it to the wording.  I then just added a shadow layer.
I coloured my pirate by Nellie Snellen in with copics.  I added gold sakura metallic pen to his sword, buckle and hat.  I finished it off by adding white high light details with my gel pen.
The wording and shadow were cut out on my cricut.  And there you have my quick and easy door sign.
Here are the colours I used to bring my pirate to life :
Hair - E35
Hat C1,3,5,7
Skin - E00,11,93 for cheeks
Top - B93, 95, 97
Pants - E40,41,43
Map - E51,53,55
Belt - E15,17
Shoes - W3, 5 , 7
Sword - C1, 3 5
I would like to enter my door sign into the following challenges :
Pollycraft - boys, boys, boys
Pile it on - just because
One stop crafts - anything goes
Pixie dust - anything but a card

Looking for your advice please

I seem to have picked up a bug and so there's no card for you today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back on track.
So onto wanting your advice. My printer is on it's last legs and I'm thinking of buying a new printer with the continuous ink system so I can print the great digi papers available these days. Do you have any suggestions of suppliers, printers etc??

A very EXCITING Teddy Bo Tuesday

To all my regular readers, seeing another Teddy Bo card will not be a surprise.  But this card is very special, as it's my very first Teddy Bo card as a member of the design team.  When I got the email off Gayle to ask me to join I did in fact SCREAM!! And ever since my tum has been doing somersaults every time I remember.
So here's what's new in the Teddy Bo store this week.

It's also time for a brand new challenge.  The challenge for the next two weeks is
My Favourite Colours.

The card I have to share with you today. It doesn't follow the challenge, it's just to introduce me to the team and to you the super duper Teddy Bo fans.

The image I have chosen to use is Teddy Bo 138.
I coloured the main part of the image with my copic's and I then used prisma pencil to give him the dark shadow as if he is outside carol singing.  I'm not overly happy with how it has turned out as I'm still learning how to use my prisma's.  I added chalk for the glow of the candle and clear glitter pen for the flame itself, to give it some shine.  The papers are from the Dovecraft Noel stack and the gorjuss snowflake if from my Marianne die.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Sketch n stash - sketch, new image used
Emerald Fairy - punches and dies
Simon says stamp - anything goes
Bugaboo - anything goes
Pile it on - do it for fun

It feels like a Magical Monday

For the following fortnight we would like to see you use three punches on your cards.  Also please don't forget you need to use a magical image to qualify for our challenge.
Here is my card.

I have used a tiny tonic studio's snowflake punch along the the bottom, a large Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a papermania snowflake to the top right of the image.
The image is a mixture of 2 different magnolia tilda stamps.  My friend loves these images and has lots of their stamps so after a few mistakes we managed to mask the wings onto the girl.
The tilda fairy is coloured with copic's.  I have used polar white flowersoft on her wing sto give the effect of feathers.  The patterned paper is from a free 6x6 paper stack from a magazine and the lace is from my stash.
I counted the layers I have on this card and if you count the lace, image and card blank there are 9 layers.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges :
Dream valley - monchromatic
Paper Sundae's - lots of layers
Emerald fairy - punches or dies
Crafty emmas store - pretty girls
Paperplay - white plus one
Simon says stamp - anything goes
