Here is my card :

And here is a close-up of the bear

My bear is coloured with copics.  The stripy paper is from my scrap drawer.  The raffia was bought from a garden suppliers and the sentiment ticket was made by the forever clever Marion, who has some amazing sentiments for you to download free.  All paper were edged with vintage photo distress ink.
Thanks for dropping and hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another card.

Every Day

Hi there, how's your weekend going?  The sun has just made an appearance here and I'm off to tea with the in-laws so things are looking up.
My card today is for Fiskarettes.
First let me show you my card and then give you a run-down on where you can get the various elements.

So do you like it?  I'm quite liking these clean and simple cards and you will probably be seeing some more of them in the future.
This card is A5 in size.  I began by punching the edge with my Fiskars bracket punch (I love this punch so much, it feels really sturdy) and then built up that side with a strip of pale green card.  I drew some stitches along the punched edge to add some simple embellishment.  I then lightly drew 2 pencil lines in the bottom right hand corner (to make positioning so much easier) and used my Fiskars circle everywhere punch.  I placed a piece of ribbon with stitch detail between the circle window and the punched border.
Next I stamped the pram from the Fiskars clear baby stamps in the circle window and coloured it in, adding glitter to the stars on the pram.
Finally I printed out and trimmed the sentiment "Every Day holds the probability of a miracle". This was matted onto a piece of green C/S to match that running along the bottom of the card.
Gems were added to the pram wheels and the ribbon.

And here is my card :

And here is a close-up of my coloured image

The computer part (sorry don't know what they are called) was bought from the play resource centre for 5p and I thought it was a fun thing to use.
My image is called Gamer and has been coloured with my copics.  I printed out a screen shot of super mario, coated it with clear gloss and stuck it behind the tv.
Tomorrow I am going to my next step in copic in Warrington and I can't wait,

How many fingers are you?

This card is being entered into a few challenges.  They are :-
Bugaboo Wacky Wednesday PCP group - 2 PP, silly Sentiment and bling
Bugaboo Wacky wednesday CDAC group - 2 PP, silly sentiments and bling
Bugaboo challenge - summer celebrations (PP has lots of summer words, plus image coloured with blue skys)
Do You Stack Up? - Animals
Stamptacular Sunday - Bears, this guy is called butterfly bear
A spoonful of sugar - things with wings
CPS challenge - for using the sketch below

And so onto my card :

Here's a close-up of my cute Butterfly Bear from Bugaboo digi stamps, who have a 50% off sale still on until the 31st May.

This was my first attempt at doing a cloudy sky with my copics so I'm really pleased it turned out so well.
Here is the silly sentiment from Inkadinkado, it also has a matching sky background.

And finally here is an angled shot so you can see just how blingy his wings are.

This guy was coloured with my copic's as usual and I then carefully cut out his wings, leaving any grass the went over the wings. His eyes are coloured with a sakura glaze pen to make them shiny.  I then applied DST to some scrap card stock and covered it with my new gilding flakes, to make the wings.
The PP are both from my scrap drawer and the strips across the middle are made by colouring white C/S with the same blue used for the sky and  the other is a strip of DST covered with the gilding flakes so that both strips matched the rest of the card.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog today and please come back again soon,

You make the world a better place

I think this might be the first time I have inked this gorgeous fairy up since I got her at the Harrowgate papercraft show in March.  I can't believe it, as she is just one of the best fairies around.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :
Magical Monday - white plus one other colour
A spoonful of sugar - things with wings
Lili of the valley - I believe in fairies
Sunday sketch and stamp - the sketch below

And here's my card -

The fairy is coloured with copics with glamour dust on her wings and wand and my clear sakura stardust pen on the dandelion seeds, her ribbon in her hair and on her petticoat.
This stamp is called Dandelion clock and the sentiment circle is from the Mixed circle sentiments set.
The white squares were spritzed with my turquoise perfect pearl mists and then embossed with a folder that came free with the docrafts magazine.  The PP was also spritzed with the same perfect pearl mist, which gives the most gorgeous shimmer IRL, but its not picked up on camera sorry.

She's finally become a teenager

My Mum's BF granddaughter has finally become a teenager and so she ordered a card that said to our teenage Granddaughter and showed a teenage girl doing what all teenage girls do and that's shopping.
I used the sketch below from Tuesday Morning Sketches

I am also entering this card into the Paper Sundae's challenge entitled "Pop it up"
Here's my card:

The image is from Pollycraft and the PP were from a 6x6" pad that came free with a craft magazine.  The pearls were white bit I coloured them black with my copics.

SSC Blog Hop Challenge- Masking

Hiya Folks and welcome to my post for the Simply Scrapping Crafts monthly blog hop.  This time we have to make a card using the masking technique, so I got out my new Hero Arts flower stamps and got cracking.
Here's my card :

This is my second attempt at a clean and simple card and I'm really pleased with how it has come out.
I began by stamping each flower onto the top section of a post-it note so that I could easily reposition it.
I then cut out my white panel and stamped the top right hand corner of it, using a bubblegum pink pigment ink pad and a turquoise chalk ink pad.  I then added the ruffled ribbon, which I really need more of a, and finally added the panel that says to a special friend.  I can't tell you who she is as she reads my blog, but I'm thinking she will guess its for her.
I have entered this card into the Sentimental Sunday's challenge which is to create a single layered card with a sentiment.

How to put a digital stamp onto a candle

I thought I'd show you all how I did this candle.

So what do you need to make you're own altered candle?
- candle (the wider the better)
- white tissue paper
- grease proof paper
- heat gun
- digi stamp
-printer
-colouring medium, I used copics
- masking tape

Ready to get started?

Decide on the size of image needed according to the size of your candle.  Print your image on paper around 1.5" from the top, this will allow you to tape your tissue paper to the top of your page.

Tape a piece of white tissue paper, shiny side up, onto your printed image, and put it back in to print.

Leave the tissue paper on the a4 paper to colour in. The brighter coloured image the better it will show up.
Once you have finished colouring, trim your tissue paper  around the image.

Lay the tissue paper image in place on your candle.

Cut a piece of grease proof paper the same height as your candle but with enough width ways to wrap around the candle and then you must be able to hold the grease proof paper tight around the candle.

Using your heat gun, slowly start to heat the wax of the candle around the tissue paper.  You will see the wax start to melt then absorb the tissue paper.

If you look closely at this photo you can see where the change is taking place.  As soon as you see the change move the heat to the next part of the candle.

Once the whole image has been absorbed very slowly peel back the grease proof paper.

If the paper comes away easily leaving the image in place then you have finished.  If you can still see bits of tissue paper just re-heat with the heat gun.

I hope you are able to follow my instructions and I'd love to see your candle if you make one,
Hugs

Fancy A Challenge??

Before I get to sharing today's card with you I thought I'd tell you about a few challenges you might not have of before.
Over on the Fiskarettes site there are currently 2 different challenges with some great Fiskar's products up for grabs.  The first is the May Focus challenge.  We want to see your garden inspired projects that feature punches, and the second is to create a project that features a banner.  Once again there's some great Fiskar's products up for grabs.
Do you fancy applying to join the Fiskarettes design team?  Well there's currently a DT call, you can find all the details here.
And now onto CS Designs who have a variety of challenges going on. They currently have 3 challenges going on on their 2 forum communities of  Simply Scrapping forum and Paper Crafts Planet.  There's a colour challenge, a shape challenge and a great sketch challenge.  We would love to come and join us over there, as well as seeing some great projects there's also loads of tips on recycling items to use for craft plus great craft ideas on subjects such as crafting on the go, plus this week I will be sharing a tutorial on how to use your digi stamps on candles.

So now you've read all that do you want to see that combines Fiskars products with a great CS Designs stamp?

Isn't she was of the best dig's around?  She's called Priscilla's Cutouts and is coloured with my copic's.
The circle patterned paper has been made using my fiskars continual stamping wheel with the black ink that it comes with and the fun circles stamp.  I then heat embossed it with clear sparkle embossing powders and coloured many of the circles with mica paints.
The fancy strip across the middle is made using fiskars bracket border punch.  I saw this idea over on the Fiskarettes blog when Michelle used it to make this great card.
Thanks for getting to the bottom of this post, you did great,

My Dads turning 70!!

When I saw Jennifer Dove's card here I knew that sentiment would work perfectly for my Brother-in-laws card for my Dad's birthday.  Whilst you are at Jennifer's blog have a look around, her colouring is some of the best I've seen.
I have used the sketch from Sunday sketch and stamp challenge and here it is :

and here's my take on the sketch:

And here's the inside :

Did you notice the great sentiment circle on the front of this card?
Fancy getting it for free?
Just click on it to open it in a new page then right click and save as...
My amazingly talented friend Marion made it.  Isn't she clever?
She is always making sentiments and giving them away for free on her blog.
Please take the time to go over to her blog and tell Marion just how clever she is and perhaps become a follower.  Not only is she a computer wizz but she also makes the most gorgeous cards.  I especially love her latest Tiddly Inks card.

Happy birthday Dad

The following card I have made for my Dads 70th birthday which is on Sunday.  He makes me the most things to help me with my crafting.  He's made me a sloping desk so my back doesn't ache too much colouring, he's made me around 20 ink blending tools for my many distress inks, he came and collected my desk and expedit unit when I bought them off ebay.
I am a daddy's girl and very proud of it.
This card is being entered into the Paper Sundaes challenge - Happy Birthday
This card is also being entered into the CPS challenge.  This is their sketch I've followed.

Here's my card :

The only change I made was I used the tools instead of the 3 small squares.
On the second photo you can see the small "made with love" charm I used as Dad's projects are always with love.
The image is from Doodle Dragon Studio's and is coloured with copics as usual.  All the papers are from my scrap bag.
